Discourses on the Avadhuta Gita of Dattatreya
These Discourses explain the Supreme Non-Duality of "Atman" or SELF
and "Brahman" or GOD. Originally taught by an "Avadhuta" by the name of Dattatreya to a couple of disciples, the
verses have been explained in sufficient detail by Brahmavid Sam Yogi
for the 21st century human being. An
"Avadhuta" is someone who has cast away all worldly attachments by
virtue of the fact that he is "liberated" from worldly bondages,
attachments, sufferings. In fact, the "Avadhuta" Dattatreya is that rare sage who is "liberated" from both "bondage" and "liberation", as he amply demonstrates in the 1st Chapter itself.
Sage Dattatreya is uniquely qualified to teach the worldly minded that in attachment (or even aversion) is suffering, and beyond attachment and aversion is "mukti" or freedom. Enjoy these discourses and be free...
