Ajna Chakra
The Ajna Chakra corresponds to the pineal gland in the physical body. In Sanskrit, Ajna means to command or to monitor. Since the Ajna is located in the mid-brain, at the top of the spinal cord, it represents a higher level of awareness. When this Chakra is aroused, the Yogi can build on his psychic powers. It is also the seat of Rudra Granthi. Rudra, the other name of lord Shiva in Hindu mythology, corresponds to the growth of psychic powers. Unless this granthi or knot is untied, the Yogi can't give up his or her attachment to the psychic powers which divert attention from the real goal, which is the higher level of spiritual awareness.[Note: The description of this Chakra is incomplete, for spiritual reasons.
